local runabout class

We introduced the Local Runabout Class for visitors who need the convenience of a basic self drive vehicle, but who don’t think they are going to do that much driving. We’ve also rented this range of vehicles to locals whose own vehicles are off the road and who need economical transport to get the kids to school, or themselves to work. If this describes you then the Barinas and our little Mazda 323 should do the trick.

All the cars are automatics with miserly fuel economy. As local commuters they are fine, but we don’t recommend them for long distance driving. For this reason we limit their area of use to 50 km from Ballina – an arc from Evans Head in the south, west to Lismore and north to Brunswick Heads. Each daily rental includes 75 kms free. If you think you need more we recommend you consider the Basic Economy Class.
