Ballina Byron Rental Cars is an independent business, aiming to provide customers with a real alternative.
We've been operating locally for the last five years. Our by line is Reliable Wheels That Won’t Break The Bank. As breadwinners of growing families we know what it’s like to travel on a tight budget. Most of us struggle to get through a holiday without racking up a frightening credit card bill. Joe Average doesn’t have a corporate credit card, so when he rents a car he wants real value for money.

Our business concept is to provide customers really good, reliable vehicles, at a great price.
We operate long hours and provide more flexibility than many other businesses. When you ring you will find a friendly local, not a call centre somewhere else in (or maybe out of) Australia. We will put you and your family in a reliable, well maintained car, at a fraction of the price of the current model. For more than three years we have also provided the convenience of a customer service desk and car parking right at the arrivals terminal of the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. With Jetstar and Virgin providing frequent jet services from Sydney and Melbourne, and REX providing turbo-prop shuttle services from Sydney, almost hourly, the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport is the ideal place to set out to explore the Ballina Byron area.

We meet most flights into Ballina Byron airport and all flights with pre-booked customers.
Our desk is near the luggage conveyor on the left side of the arrivals terminal, straight across from our friends at Budget. If you have booked a rental car, but find our desk unattended, please just pick up our blue courtesy phone and wait for our friendly staff to answer.

We are gracefully aging surfers who drove through Ballina Byron once and decided to stay.
So we and our families are here for the long run. We are involved in many local community groups and strongly believe in customer service and ethical business practices. Our friendly team is committed to these ideals too. They will do their best to make your experience with Ballina Byron Rental Cars enjoyable, affordable and memorable. We enjoy an ongoing relationship with many customers.
These customers visit friends and family in the area, or they just enjoy getting away from the big smoke every now and then. Repeat customers are central to our growth from a fledgling business to an expanding rental car operator in the Northern Rivers. Word of mouth endorsements are crucial to any business, and we get lots.

Our friendly local staff:

• Naaiem - Takes your calls from Monday to Saturday 8 am – 6pm and meets many of our booked customers flying into the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. Virtually unflappable (so far).
• Tony - Answers most of your emails and out of hours enquiries and who is still happy to take your calls on Sundays.
• Cliff - Fleet manager, also covering some ad hoc bookings, as long as they don’t conflict with Formula 1 Racing events or when the surf is up. 
• Rosannah - Meeting most evening jet services and most weekend customers. She’s the newest member of the Ballina Byron Rental Cars’ team, but she's just like the rest of us in wanting to give our customers the best service possible.  
• Col - Working hard in the background, ensuring everyone (staff and customers) is having a good experience. Emerges to greet customers during busy times.
• Melisa – We’re proud to say that Melisa has been accepted into the Australian Army and has her sights set on Duntroon.  We’re hoping that she can still help out sometimes when she’s back on leave.
